World Cooperative Day - Rs. 1 crore loan disbursed

As part of the celebration of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025 in the Nilgiris district, the International Day of Cooperatives was celebrated on Saturday, as announced by the United Nations.  To celebrate the International Year of Cooperatives, a program was held at the Rao Bahadur Arigowder Wedding Hall of the Nilgiris Cooperative Marketing Association under the leadership of the Nilgiris Regional Cooperative Societies' Co-operative Union Secretary Mr. I. Dayalan with the theme "Equality is the Greatness of Cooperatives". 
At the ceremony, 5 women's self-help groups of P. Maniatty Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society and 2 women's self-help groups of Kurutukuli Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society were provided with loan assistance worth "Rupees One Crore".

Ayyanar, Deputy Registrar/Managing Director Coonoor Cooperative City Bank Mr. S. Kumarasundaram, Deputy Registrar/Managing Director Nilgiris District Central Cooperative Bank Mr. De. Chitra, Deputy Registrar/Managing Director Nilgiris Cooperative Sales Association Mr. Tha. Muthukumar, delivered the felicitation address.
