Vehicle checks going on in state borders

The Election Flying Squad conducted a vehicle check on the Tamil Nadu-Karnataka border on Tuesday. While the Election Commission announced that the Lok Sabha polls will be held in 7 phases, polling was held in Tamil Nadu on April 19. In this case, the second and third phase of elections will be held in the neighboring states of Kerala and Karnataka. In order to prevent the distribution of money to the voters, the flying squad are conducting vehicle checks at the state borders. The vehicle checks were held in Karapallam check post on the Tamil Nadu-Karnataka border near Sathyamangalam in the district. The officials said that the money and gift items being transported above Rs 50000 are being confiscated.
