VCW student's feat

VP Kaviyadharshini, III BA English Literature, of Vellalar College for Women, {VCW} Thindal, Erode, and cadet under officer of 15 {TN} Battalion NCC, Erode, scored 599 points in the prone position at the 66th National Sports Shooting Championship competition held in New Delhi from Nov 15 to Dec 4, 2023.
It was arranged by the Directorate General, NCC, TN, Pondicherry, Andaman Nicobar Directorate. 
As she was selected for international shooting trails for getting highest score in the competition, the college correspondent SD Chandrasekar, Principal Dr SK Jayanthi and faculties felicitated 
her.
DST AID: The Department of Science and Technology has sanctioned a grant of Rs 73 lakh to the college to improve the infrastructure and research activities in the PG Science departments of the college during the next 3 years. 
The college got the aid for the second time in recent past.
