TNAU's 6th flower show begins in Coimbatore

TNAU's 6th flower show begins in Coimbatore

The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University's (TNAU) Botanical Garden in Coimbatore has come alive with a vibrant 3-day flower show! After a 12-year wait, the 6th edition opened with a flourish, showcasing over 200 flower varieties and captivating arrangements.
Visitors are greeted by a rainbow of colours and sweet scents. Intricate designs like Thiruvalluvar in a flower basket and a floral Jallikattu Pongal celebration wow the crowds. Playful figures like a carrot-munching rabbit and elephant caretakers made from Pomman Belli flowers delight children.
But the show isn't just about beauty.
Bonsai enthusiasts can see miniature marvels, while exotic and herbal plants offer a glimpse into nature's diversity.
Visitors can learn about cultivating their own flowers or discover the wonders of home-grown herbs. They can also strike a pose at the flower-shaped tennis court or cricket player selfie spot.
The university shares knowledge on flower and herb cultivation. Daily art performances add vibrancy, and upcoming yoga sessions promise a holistic experience.
Vice Chancellor Geethalakshmi invites everyone to join the celebration with their families.
"Come experience the beauty, learn something new, and enjoy the art and activities," she says.
