Prez accepted the invitation to inaugurate Multi-Speciality hospital Murmu to visit Chennai on June

President Droupadi Murmu has accepted the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s invitation to inaugurate a multi-specialty hospital in Chennai on the centennial birth anniversary of former Chief Minister and the DMK stalwart M Karunanidhi on June 5.
The state government has been constructing a 1000-bedded multi-specialty hospital on King institute of preventive medicine and research at Guindy in the city. 
It is a six-storied building constructed on 51,429 square meter land at the cost of Rs 230 crore with modernized facilities. The construction work has neared its completion. 
On the centennial birth anniversary of Karunanidhi, it has been announced that Kalaignar garden would be established at his birth place Tiruvarur. 
The Chief Minister Stalin along with chief secretary Irai Anbu and his personal secretary Udhayachandran was all set to leave for New Delhi to invite the President to inaugurate the hospital and the garden on Thursday.
Since the flight that was scheduled to take off at 8:30 pm did not take off till 9:30 due to technical glitch, Stalin and other officials postponed the trip and returned home. They left for New Delhi on Friday around 6 am and they were received by DMK MPs at the airport.
The Chief Minister met the President at 11 am and extended his invitation. The President accepted the invitation and agreed to inaugurate the hospital on June 5. During the meeting, Stalin is expected to have talked about a bill seeking exemption from NEET with the President.
