Over 50,000 candidates write Group 4 exam in Coimbatore district

Fifty thousand people wrote Group 4 exam  held in Coimbatore district today.
The competitive examination held to fill up 3,935 vacancies in Group 4  including Junior Assistant and Village Administrative Officer posts in various departments of the Tamil Nadu government by the TNPSC. 
13 lakh people from across the state have applied for this examination including 50,144  in Coimbatore district. More than 100 examination centers have been set up to facilitate them in writing the examination. Basic facilities including uninterrupted electricity, drinking water, and toilets have been set up in those examination centers. 175 special forces have been set up to prevent candidates from copying. Apart from these, more than 1000 employees, including semi-invigilators, have been deployed.  Leeja from Ramanathapuram Sungam area, who came to write the examination with a 7-month-old baby, left the child with her parents and went to write the examination.
