MP presides over DISHA meeting held at Coimbatore

District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting was held today (02.05.2025) in Coimbatore District Collector Office meeting under the chairmanship of Coimbatore MP Dr. Ganapathy Rajkumar. 
In this meeting, District Collector Mr. Pavankumar Giriyappanavar, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Sivaguru Prabhakaran, Coimbatore South MLA Vanathisinivasan. Additional Collector (Development) Mr. Sanket Balwant Wage,  Women Program Project Director Mrs. Mathimathura, committee members and government officials were present.
In his speech, the MP said various development projects are being implemented in Coimbatore district by the Union and State Governments. The DISHA  has been established to speed up the implementation of the schemes while they are monitored by the people's representatives. This meeting is held once in 3 months. This committee works with the objectives of ensuring that all project work is carried out according to the guidelines, identifying integrated ways to eliminate the risks of project activities, carrying out the priority tasks of the District Planning Committee, locating priority tasks and finding solutions to problems.
Today, the meeting discussed about the development works being carried out in the departments including the People's Welfare Department. It was advised that necessary steps should be taken to speedily complete the ongoing works and bring them to public use.
