Each one of you can become teachers by paying attention to studies and focusing on current affairs, said school education minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi during the model parliament debate organized for school students at SSVM school in Uppilipalayam in the city.
ganized by Young India and Thalir, the minister spoke against the National Education Policy (NEP).
He said, “This is a very unique event. In Parliament, ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Nirmala Sitharaman. But it was opposed by MPs Trichy Siva, Kanimozhi Karunanidhi and Thamizhachi Thangapandian.”
He congratulated the students for attending the event, instead of staying at home. “This should become an event where everything can be learned. It will be very useful when students go to the actual Parliament and witness it. By focusing on your studies and also learning about current affairs, you will become teachers. If you think that you want to become a MP, you will become one. Students must develop political thinking. Rather than just knowing actors, you must know the political leaders who provide basic facilities in your constituency," he said.
