Minister studies Thonimaduvu check dam project

The Honorable Minister of Housing, Prohibition and Excise, Mr. S. Muthusamy, conducted an inspection regarding the construction of a check dam in the Thonimaduvu area of ​​​​Anthiyur taluk, Erode district.
The rainwater that falls in the Thamaraikarai banks comes down and mixes with the Palaru. To prevent this water from going to the sea in vain and to prevent wild animals from getting water during the summer and leaving the forest area for residential areas, the public requested the Minister to initiate the project. Accepting this request, he inspected the place that is favorable for the construction of the dam. Following this inspection, he ordered the forest officials to immediately prepare a proposal and project report and send it to the Tamil Nadu Government.

Erode Forest Officer Mr. Kumili Venkata Appala Naidu, Executive Engineer of the Water Resources Department Mr. Ravi, Assistant Executive Engineer Lokapriya and other departmental officials participated.
