Major Coin Expo at VET Arts College

The U.V.Saminathar Tamil Mandram and the Library Department of VET Arts and Science College, Tindal, Erode, jointly organized a major coin expo on Monday.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Principal  V. P. Nallasamy. Dean C. Lokesh Kumar, and Director of Research and Development, Dr. P. M. Palanisamy, were present.
C. Thamarairaj, founder and coin collector of the organization (Numisparadisce) based in Kumarapalayam, Namakkal district, participated as the special guest and explained about numismatics to the students. Heads of departments, professors and more than 2000 students participated with enthusiasm.
Coins from countries including Cuba, England, South America, Russia, Bulgaria, Mexico, Peru were displayed in the exhibition.  In addition, postage stamps from countries such as Denmark, America, Hungary, Poland, Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands were also on display.
Also on display were banknotes from countries including Iraq, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Ukraine, Zimbabwe, Burma, Greece, and Kenya.
