In an initiative to protect the environment, the Eco Club and NSS volunteers of Kathir College of Arts and Science, along with the Madras Regiment Territorial Army 110 Infantry Battalion, organised a tree sapling ceremony on May 24. The event was presided over by Dr. R Karpagam, Principal of Kathir College of Arts and Science.
Lieutenant Colonel Vikram Singh Yadav, Second-in-Command of the 110 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army), initiated the ceremony by planting the first sapling in the college campus. Following this, students, members of the Eco Club, and NSS volunteers joined in planting more saplings. The event saw the active participation of various Department Heads, Subedar Major (Honorary Lieutenant) R Murugan, other officers of the 110 Infantry Battalion, and members of the Eco Club and NSS students.
