IT Park in VCET at a cost of Rs 1 crore

An IT Park has been set up at Velalar College of Engineering and Technology in Tindal, Erode at a cost of Rs 1 crore. The park has been set up under the Idea Lab scheme of the Central Government. This park has been set up with a contribution of Rs 50 lakh each from the Department of Science and Technology of the Central Government and the college. 
The 25th anniversary of the college is to be celebrated soon. This park will be inaugurated then. This park will be of great use to students and technicians in the field of Information Technology, Information Technology-enabled  services, CSE, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science to conduct research and create new products.
The work of setting up the equipment and facilities for this is currently underway. Once the work is completed, this laboratory will be able to be used. Through this, new research and development work can be initiated, said Nisha Angelin, Head of the ECE Department.
