Is Dr Ramadoss sidelined by his son?

Is Dr Ramadoss sidelined by his son?

The internal conflict within the PMK has become a major topic of discussion in today's political arena.
PMK organized a meeting with its district presidents and secretaries in Villupuram’s Thailapuram. The meeting was attended by the party’s founder Ramadoss, honorary president GK Mani, state general secretary Vadivel Ravanan, Salem West MLA Arul, head office secretary Anbazhagan, state youth wing president Mukundan, Puducherry state organizer Ganapathy and district functionaries.
Most of the functionaries, including PMK’s president (working president according to Ramadoss) Anbumani Ramadoss, MLAs Maylam Sivakumar, Dharmapuri Venkateswaran, and Mettur Sadasivam, state treasurer Thilagabama did not participate. In the meeting, which was supposed to be attended by 180 administrators, only 40 of them participated.
Although Ramadoss was greatly disappointed by the fact that most of the functionaries ignored him, he was not ready to hand over the leadership to Anbumani. That is why they say, "Even if a lion's leg is damaged, its anger does not diminish. If the lion's legs are not damaged, the anger must be greater."
However, it is clear that Anbumani's hand is high in the PMK. Party executives and workers are pained to see the father and son clashing in the power struggle. Some say that it is not good for Ramadoss to give in to Anbumani and not take over the party because he is old. Some others are discussing within the party that Anbumani's attitude of acting on his father's advice and marginalizing the founder Ramadoss instead of developing the party is not right.
Recently, it was said that there have been occasional clashes between the two and that all this was an internal party problem and was resolved peacefully. But now, the question of ‘Me or you?’ has become stronger, and the conflict has reached the peak.
Akhilesh Yadav removed Mulayam Singh Yadav from the party when he was still alive and disgraced him. A similar situation may arise in Tamil Nadu. Just as Omar Abdullah became the Chief Minister while Farooq Abdullah was still active, does Anbumani think that the party should be with him while Ramadoss is still active?
Today's Chief Minister MK Stalin obliged his father M Karunanidhi even when he was 96 years old. Only if Anbumani follows this path and works together with Ramadoss as per his father's advice, the PMK will remain united. Otherwise, the party will break.
Meanwhile, the assembly elections are coming up. There is a high chance that the PMK will join the AIADMK alliance, where the BJP is present. Perhaps it can join the TVK alliance, which is Vijay's party. Or it can even contest independently. But who is going to make a final decision regarding the alliance. Ramadoss or Anbumani? Will the two come together to form a greater force? We will just have to wait and see.
