Independence Day Celebration with 75 Flag hoisting at Montfort Community School

Students and teachers hoisted 75 national flags on the tricolor mast during the 75th Independence Day celebrations at Montfort Community School, located in Sheveroyan Hills Kuravan Kadu, Salem District.
The ceremony saw a parade of Scouts and Guides and the National Cadet Corps. Community School's Instrumental Band. The special guest Aruthora Binay hoisted the national flag.

After that, Scouts and Guides and the National Cadet Corps Corps gave a performance about the freedom struggle.

Teachers and students promised to do their best for the development of the country in the presence of school principal K.J George.

 The special guest,highlighted the role of the school in the development of the hill people for 21 years. He also said, "For 21 years the community school has given real freedom to the community and the students from the ignorance of the tribal people of the region and the disadvantages of girl child, child marriage and child labour".
