Hill tribal students showcase sporting talents at Montfort Community School

Former Tamil Nadu DGP, Mr. Walter Isaac Devaram IPS, attended the 23rd Sports Festival held on February 7, 2024, at Montfort Community High School in Kuravangad, YercaudTaluk, Salem District. 
The event, which showcased the athletic prowess of 950 hill students, was graced by notable figures including Mr.Muthukumaran, Mr.Vimalan, and Pastor Emmanuel. 
Addressing the gathering as the special guest, Mr.Devaram lauded Montfort Community School for its holistic approach towards education, emphasizing its remarkable achievements not only in academics but also in sports and moral development. 
He commended the school's principal, Brother George KJ, for fostering such laudable efforts among the hill people.
The festival commenced with a dignified procession of students, setting the tone for a day filled with spirited sports competitions and awe-inspiring acrobatic performances. 
In a heartening display of community involvement, parents and alumni actively participated in specially organized sports competitions, showcasing the enduring spirit of camaraderie within the school. 
The event garnered significant attendance from parents, villagers, and well-wishers. 
As the festivities drew to a close at 6 pm, the school resonated with joyous singing, marking the conclusion of a successful and memorable event.
