Gummi Pattu event to ensure cent percent polling

The district election officer and Collector M Aruna arranged a Gummi Pattu event of women self-help group members and Anganwadi workers on the need for 100 percent voting in the coming LS poll. It was held at Utagai Government Botanical Gardens, Nilgiris District.

 As per the order of the Election Commission of India, various awareness programs are organized by the district administration in all areas to create awareness among the voters. Various programs are being conducted to emphasize the importance of young voters to register their votes in the upcoming elections and to create awareness among them about the necessity of voting. 50 women self-help group members and 50 Anganwadi workers attended the event.

Aavin General Manager Dr Jayaraman, District Social Welfare Officer Mrs. Praveena Devi, District Child Welfare Officer (P) Mrs. Shobana, Assistant Project Officer Mrs. Jayarani, Utagai tahsildar Mr. Saravanakumar and many attended the event.
