Govt urged to reconsider power tariff hike for MSME

Karthikeyan, President of the Codissia, Rajesh, President, Indian Chamber of  Commerce Coimbatore Chapter said:-
Tamil Nadu government has exempted all sectors from the electricity tariff hike. However, MSMEs and some industries are not covered by it. Therefore, we request the Tamil Nadu government to exempt the electricity tariff hike for MSMEs as well.
Furthermore, for micro, small and medium enterprises, this electricity tariff hike is an unexpected additional burden.
The sector will be severely hit with additional financial burdens, reduced production, massive job losses, and sometimes factory closures.
We therefore request the government to consider our requests and continue to provide its support to the industry.
