‘Go Blue’ Autism Awareness Event Sees Launch of Special Video

‘Go Blue’ an autism awareness initiative by Third Eye- center for autism, Coimbatore was held at Brookefields Mall on Saturday. The event saw the launch of an Autism Awareness video by Ms. Gautami Tadimalla, popular actor and Founder –Life Again Foundation, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Ms. Saranya Rengaraj, Founder- Third Eye, was also present on the occasion. 
Addressing the media on the occasion Ms. Gautami Tadimalla expressed her happiness at being part of the occasion. She said that there should be more such events, at many different places, for there is a need to create widespread awareness about autism. 
She lauded the efforts of Third Eye and their ‘Go Blue’ initiative to spread awareness about autism. She praised the centre for the excellent conduct of the event.
Pointing out that all children are special she emphasized on the need to embrace neurodiversity with empathy and understanding. She also stressed on the importance of early intervention, diagnosis and treatment of autism. 
Speaking to the media, Saranya Rengaraj said that there is a need to create more awareness about autism. 
She said that globally 1 in 36 children are diagnosed with autism and reiterated the need to create more awareness. 
She stated that there are still a lot of myths and stigma surrounding autism and that parents should come forward and seek accurate information and support, so they can better understand and empower their children.
She further added that with early support and acceptance, every child can thrive.The Chief Guest, Ms. Gautami launched an Autism Awareness video in Tamil on the occasion.
A variety of activities including free counselling sessions, games for kids & families and face painting were organized as part of the event.
Another key highlight of the event was the Mom & Kid dance performance, where children with autism danced alongside their mothers. 
Adding to the excitement, a special fashion walk showcased children with autism proudly strutting in colourful superhero costumes, delighting one and all present.
