General Election Observer inspects key centers in Salem

Mr. G.P. Patil, appointed as the General Election Observer for Salem Lok Sabha Constituency, conducted a comprehensive inspection of crucial election facilities today. His visit encompassed the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee Center, Election Control Room, Election Assistance Center, Election Material Depository, and Election Social Media Center, all operational within the Salem District Collectorate.

Mr. Patil delved into the operations of these centers. The Media Certification and Monitoring Committee Center, operating round the clock, caught his attention with its vigilant monitoring of election advertisements. With three dedicated teams working the compliance with electoral norms in advertising is being closely monitored.

 Patil scrutinized the Election Control Room and the Election Assistance Center. These vital hubs serve as the epicenter for addressing election-related queries and concerns, providing citizens with accurate information and assistance.Further, the inspection extended to the Election Material Depository and the Election Social Media Monitoring Centre, essential components in safeguarding the integrity of the electoral process. 

The presence of Assistant Collector (Training) Ms. D. Swathi Sri, E.P.A., Interview Assistant to District Collector (Elections) Mr. Sivasubramanian, Assistant to District Collector (Accounts) Mr. Panneerselvan, General Manager of District Industrial Center Mr. Sivakumar, and other pertinent officials underscored the collaborative effort in ensuring smooth election operations.
