'Election Officials told to work honestly'

In view of Parliamentary Elections in Nilgiris District, Election Expenditure observers T.Kiran and Sandeep Kumar held a meeting of election expenditure monitoring officials at the Collectorate on Wednesday. 

District Collector M. Aruna presided over it. T.Kiran said that: According to the announcement of the Election Commission, various officials such as Returning Officers, Assistant Returning Officers, Flying Squads, and Static Monitoring Teams have been appointed in each district for the proper conduct of the Parliamentary General Election.  

All of them must realize that they are under the control of the Election Commission and work honestly, realizing their responsibilities. Because if something goes wrong the consequences are severe. Likewise, election staff should not be afraid of anyone. They feel free to let us know if you have any complaints or requests, he said.

Subsequently, Mr. Sandeep Kumar Mishra said: As soon as the Election Commission announced the date of the election, it was sent to all.  All those involved in surveillance work, including flying squads, static surveillance teams, should carry out vehicle checks in all areas including checkpoints. Election expenditure accounts should be properly monitored and uploaded to the concerned candidate's account. 

Those appointed to work for elections in the Nilgiris district should be well aware of the election rules.  The Election Expenditure officials should cooperate with the Election Commission and work well.

Subsequently, the Election Expenditure Inspectors inspected the monitoring work being carried out at the Election Control Room and the Media Certification and Monitoring Center (MCC).

 In this meeting, District SP Mr. Sundaravadivel, Additional Collector(Development) Mr. Kaushik, District Revenue Officer Mrs. Keerthi Priyadarsini, District Collector's PA (Election) Mr. Suresh Kannan and many government officials were present.
