Don’t venture out between 12 noon and 3 pm, says Coimbatore Collector

Coimbatore Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati has issued a cautionary advisory to residents of the district, urging them to refrain from outdoor activities between 12 noon and 3 pm due to the rising summer temperatures in Tamil Nadu.

In a statement released by the District Collector, it was noted that while the heat has been intensifying across various districts in Tamil Nadu recently, the Indian Meteorological Department has forecasted the possibility of a heat wave occurring in certain areas of Coimbatore district and the northern interior regions of the state in the upcoming days.

As a precautionary measure, the public is strongly advised to stay hydrated by drinking an ample amount of water and to limit outdoor exposure unless absolutely necessary. Additionally, individuals are urged to seek medical attention if they experience any adverse health effects due to prolonged sun exposure.
