Coimbatore collector inspects the to-be demolished Mettupalayam bus stand

As part of the 'Ungalai Thedi Ungal Ooril' scheme, Coimbatore Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati, IAS, conducted an inspection of the Mettupalayam bus stand, scheduled for demolition on Thursday night. 

The Collector assessed the areas slated for demolition, involving an initial cost of Rs 8 crore, and inquired about the alternative arrangements with municipal officials.

During the visit, the Collector also inspected various government offices in Mettupalayam, including the civil supplies corporation godown, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Depot, schools, police stations, and agricultural extension centers.
