Chief Minister MK Stalin laid the foundation stone for 2,404 new apartments to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 327.69 crore under the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board. The event took place at the Chennai Secretariat, where he also inaugurated various completed projects and laid the foundation stone for new initiatives through video conferencing.
As part of the event, Chief Minister Stalin inaugurated two Taluk Office buildings in Mayiladuthurai and Nagapattinam districts, built at a cost of Rs. 8.58 crore. Additionally, he inaugurated 25 Revenue Inspector Offices and Residences, constructed at a cost of Rs. 7.47 crore. He also laid the foundation stone for an Integrated Complex at the Co-Optex Complex in Egmore, Chennai, with an investment of Rs. 227 crore.
To support temple renovation efforts, Chief Minister Stalin allocated Rs. 62.50 crore for the renovation of 1,250 village temples in Adi Dravidar and tribal villages, increasing financial assistance to Rs. 2.5 lakh per temple. In the agricultural sector, he inaugurated a cattle feed factory in Soolakkarai, Virudhunagar district, built at a cost of Rs. 15.43 crore, which has a daily production capacity of 50 metric tons.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated 10 completed fisheries projects, including fish landing centres and fish seed farms. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for a fish landing centre with a bait arch in Kuduthalai, Tirunelveli district, at a cost of Rs. 15 crore.
