A meeting to ensure uninterrupted water supply in Coimbatore

Coimbatore Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati recently convened a crucial meeting involving officials from various departments, including the corporation, municipality, Panchayat, Drainage Board, and Electricity Board. The primary agenda of the meeting was to explore strategies for ensuring uninterrupted water supply to the citizens of Coimbatore during the summer months.

During the meeting, the Collector emphasised the need for coordinated efforts among officials to guarantee water reaches every household from its source. He emphasised the importance of promptly repairing drinking water pipes that may be damaged or cracked due to maintenance issues. Given the relatively low rainfall this year and the onset of the summer season, officials were urged to raise public awareness about the responsible use of water. The public was encouraged to exercise caution and use water judiciously in light of the prevailing circumstances.

Key attendees at the meeting included Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabhakaran, Additional Collector Swetha Suman, and other government officials.
