Will Lok Sabha election result bring respite to Manipur people’s woes?

Manipur, registered 82% of votesin 2019 Lok Sabha elections, but minorities face ethinic violence, and are questioning why they should vote. Opposition parties accuse that the cause of such a situation is the escalation of ethnic conflict in the ruling BJP government with the support of the majority community, the Meithi community, in order to suppress the reservation of ST seats for the minority people.
Over 50,000 Manipur residents have lost their homes and property due to riots, facing severe hardships such as lack of food, clothing, electricity, and toilet facilities.Amidst this background, the Lok Sabha elections are going to be held in two phases on April 19 and 26 in Manipur.
The BJP, along with its allies, is campaigning to retain its position. The opposition parties are also busy campaigning against the BJP. Regarding this, Nobi a women from more than 50,000 people living in the relief camps, said, "The ruling BJP has taken away our right to life.
What are we going to do with the right to vote? "Why should we register our votes for those who have robbed us of our lives?" she shared her woes.Comments such is this are echoed widely  in many places across the state of Manipur. The ethinic problem in Manipur is a raging fire. Conflict erupts from time to time.
The people of this state are waiting to vote with the hope that even if it is a parliamentary election, the verdict will be given by the people & there will be a solution.
