Voting Pledge feat: Chennai shows the way

To raise voter awareness of the significance of casting a ballot in the LokSabha elections, a program was conducted in the North Chennai LokSabha constituency. 
In this instance, the Chennai Corporation broke the global record by obtaining 4,10,988 voters' signed commitment forms in less than 12 hours.
Recognising this, the World Record Citation Certificates on behalf of Elite World Records and India Records Academy were given to Dr. J. Radhakrishnan, Chennai District Election Officer, R. Lalitha, Additional District Election Officer and Katta Ravi Teja Returning Officer. 
By garnering such a significant number of pledges in such a short span of time, the Corporation is proud to say that the constituency has demonstrated a firm commitment to shaping the future of voting.
The fact that this accomplishment was made possible by the Voter Education and Electoral Participation Program is notable. Bravo to Chennai Municipal Corporation and North Chennai for leading the way in demonstrating the importance of voting not just in Tamil Nadu but throughout India!
