Voting awareness via volleyball match in Tiruvannamalai

To promote awareness about the importance of 100% voting in the upcoming Parliamentary election, a mass awareness volleyball match was organised by the District Electoral Officer and Tiruvannamalai Collector D Bhaskara Pandian. The event took place at the ground on Thiruvannamalai Gandhinagar Bypass Road.
Various departments have been conducting awareness programs to emphasise the significance of voting. Over the past two days, programs such as silambam and yogasana were held with students at the ground on Gandhi Nagar Bypass Road.
The awareness volleyball tournament saw participation from 48 teams and around 600 individuals. Cash prizes were awarded to the winning teams, with the first prize being Rs 10,000, second prize Rs 7,000, third prize Rs 5,000, and fourth prize Rs 4,000.
The event was graced by the presence of Additional Collector (Development) S.A. Rishabh, District Sports Officer Roylin John, and members of the public.
