Vellalar School students set Guinness record in Yoga

Erode May 8: Dhakshayasree (Class 9) and Subhiksha (Class 7) students of Erode Thindal Vellalar Girls High School set a Guinness world record for performing  chin stand position in Yoga for 60 seconds. On 19th January 2024 at the Nehru Stadium, Chennai, they did the feat in the presence of Prime Minister, Governor, Chief Minister, Central and State Sports Ministers and other high officials in the All India Sports (Khelo India) event. Certificates were given in this regard a few days back.The school President C. Jayakumar, Secretary SD Chandrasekhar, Treasurer PKP Arun, Vellalar Arts College Principal SK Jayanthi, Vellalar Girls High School Principal B. Kousalai, manager Mohanraj greeted them to achieve more in Asian Games and Olympics.
