Grand Pongal celebration at Montfort School

The harvest festival of Pongal was celebrated in a grand manner at Montfort Matric Hr.Sec.School, Perungudi, Chennai on 12 January 2024.

The highlight of the event was the participation of transperson artistes and activists Kalaimamani Sudha, Gayathri and Rakshit who added immense value to the celebration with their presence.

The school's correspondent Bro. David and the chief guests delivered motivational speeches, inspiring students on various things like awareness on mobile phone and plastic usage, respecting elders, and treating transpersons on par with others.

To sum it up, the Pongal celebrations at Montfort Matric Hr.Sec.School, Perungudi, Chennai were memorable, meaningful and conveyed an apt message to the society.
