Coir carpet in Bhavani Sangameswarar temple

Coir carpet in Bhavani Sangameswarar temple

In view of the summer heat, carpets made of coir have been donated for a distance of 250 meters in Bhavani Sangameswarar temple complex.

Due to the increase in the effects of heat in Erode district, the people are suffering a lot. Bhavani Sangameswarar Temple, which is a tourist destination and a famous place of worship, will be open till 1 pm. Devotees going for Swami darshan in the temple premises were unable to walk on the ground due to intense heat at this time.

In this case, Navaneethan, owner of Perundurai Unibrand Textiles, who regularly visits the temple for worship, has offered to provide coconut fiber floor mats so that the devotees can walk safely.

Following this, carpets worth Rs.80 thousand were purchased from Coir Cooperative Society in Alappi, Kerala State.

Navaneethan presented this to Temple Assistant Commissioner Swaminathan on Friday. Subsequently, from the north gate Rajagopuram of Sangameswarar Temple, where the devotees enter, to Adikesava Perumal, Vedanayaki Amman and Sangameswarar Sannidhi, a carpet was spread for a distance of about 250 meters.

Devotees welcomed it as they will not be affected by the summer heat while walking on this carpet in the temple.
