Womanhood extoled in KPR College Women’s Day function

A woman should be empowered to tackle obstacles in the modern age.

A mother was always the chief minister of finance to manage the domestic duties in every home said ‘Bharatisudar,’MaheshwariSarguru, Director of ‘ThedalumThelithalum’,Human Resource Trainer, Coimbatore.

Delivering special addresstitled, “NaveenYugathil Pen EnumPeraattral.” at the “International Women’s Day Celebration” on March 8 jointly organised by KPR College of Arts Science and, Research, Coimbatore, School of Liberal Arts and Women Empowerment Cell (WEC), Bharatisudar,’MaheshwariSarguru narrated motivating vignettes in the lives of accomplished women like, Dr.Muthulakshmi Reddy an icon of women’s emancipation and V. M. KothainayakiAmmal, icon of freedom fighting.

The special speaker further said that young generation should raise their voice against inequality of women in the modern society.Dr. S. Balusamy, Principal presided over the celebration. Ms.S.Saranya, I.B.Com. (B&I), Ms. A. Akshaya, I B.Sc.CS with DA, Ms. B. Shreethika, I B.Sc. CS with DA enthralled the audience with sincilating singing.


Ms.R. SivanandhiniMeenakshi and Ms. R. Nandhini from I B.Com. CA who rendered a dance performance.

The cultural performers were awarded with prizes. About 600 students, faculty members from all streams participated in the celebration.
