Walking back rally to highlight children’s safety

Coimbatore, Nov. 16:

A walking back rally to create awareness among the public on the safety of children, who are sexually exploited, was organized in the city on Friday.

More than 700 students from 10 colleges participated in the novel rally which was organized by the Coimbatore chapter of Young Indians. Various organizations have been creating awareness among the common public about the increasing sexual assault on girl children.

Young India project chairman Rajalakshmi, Seva Centre chairman Jaishree and Dr. Aishwarya flagged off the rally.
Carrying placards on the safety of girl children, the students walked backwards covering a distance of three kilometers.
Members of the public were surprised by the novel rally which was conducted in an innovative way.
