Voter Awareness Programme held at Collectorate

District Election Officer and District Collector C. Kathiravan inaugurated the Rangoli Kolam, Gummi Song and Voter PledgeProgrammes at the collectorate to create awareness among voters on the coming assembly poll.

It was organized by Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Mission, Mahalir Thittam, and Differently Abled Welfare Department. Special arrangements are being made by the EC to ensure 100 per cent turnout in every election.

Accordingly, various election awareness programs are being conducted in the Erode district to create awareness among the voters to urge them to cast their votes 100 per cent.

Today, women SHGs raised slogans like ‘Let’s Vote, Let’s Vote’, It is our duty to vote, vote not for sale, corona awreness etc.

They drew kolams with the themes of ‘100 Percent Vote’, ‘Voter Assistance No. 1950’, ‘Election Day’, etc.

Collector said that Erode district would work in better way to achieve 100 percent turnout in the polls.

Subsequently, the Voter Awareness Pledge was administered to the members of SHGs and government officials.

An folk art show was held with the participation of transgenders on the subject.

On the first floor of the collectorate, the collector inaugurated media centre, arranged by the Department of I&PR Department, which could help the media persons to send election-related events to their firms.
