Vaccination for election staff announced

According to a press release issued by Erode District Election Officer and Collector Kathiravan ”A total of 13,157 government officials, including teachers, 2,415 polling station officials, 1,201 police officers and 1,540 ex-servicemen, home guards etc will be deployed at polling stations in 8 assembly constituencies in the Erode district ahead of the assembly elections.


All these officers are being vaccinated free of cost at government hospitals and primary health centers in Erode district on priority basis as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India.


Therefore, all uniformed personnel, teachers and all government officials, including police officers, should take advantage of this opportunity to be vaccinated against corona free of charge, he advised.
