The second wave of the COVID 19 is intensifying across the country. Each state is enforcing regulatory rules as its impact is expected to increase in the second week of May.
Prime Minister Modi has been holding consultations with state chief ministers where corona spread is high. Corona spread is increasing in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Bihar, Delhi, UP and Kerala.
Those state governments are thus implementing a full curfew to prevent the further spread of the infection.
M K Stalin, who became the Chief Minister, is taking action on a wartime basis to prevent the spread of corona in Tamil Nadu. He has imposed a complete curfew for two weeks to control the spread of infection.
During the entire curfew, shops will be allowed to open from 6 am to 12 noon to facilitate the purchase of essential items such as milk, vegetables and groceries.
People have to wear masks and follow social distancing and quickly purchase the things they need. It is advised to go by foot to shops instead of using vehicles whenever possible.
Police have warned that action will be taken against those who roam in vehicles unnecessarily.
The Tamil Nadu government has said that the curfew will not be extended after 2 weeks if the people cooperate with the entire curfew and act responsibly.
So the people have a duty to cooperate with the government to drive the corona out of our state completely. Parents should advise young people not to leave their homes and drive on the roads unnecessarily.
Young women and the elderly need to be made aware of the COVID impact. The need for vaccination should be highlighted by those who have already vaccinated.
Understanding that the mask is the first protection can prevent us from infection and death.
