TN Rural Development Officials Association (TNRDOA) has appealed to the government to ease the heavy workload on the staff. In this connection, the staff staged demo in front of all Panchayat Union offices in the district.
Its emergency working committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of District president P.Ravichandran. Union functionaries S. Sivasankar, P. Krishnasami, J. Baskarbabu and C. Thulasimani spoke.
The staff in the field of rural development department were attending public welfare programmes, disaster management and many other things in the villagers, central and state government programmes, green housing, 100-day work plan, and survey works etc, despite the department did not have adequate staff.
New posts were also not created for new projects.
At present, the work of other departments, such as the corona survey, the task of detecting those who have not been vaccinated against corona, the imposition of fines on those who do not wear masks, the practice of targeting them daily, holding mega vaccination camp throughout the week, and advertising for it was also entrusted on them.
