TN schools reopening date will be announced after curfew – Classes 1 to 8 declared all pass

In Tamil Nadu, the Director of Primary Education has declared the students from Class 1 to 8 “All-Pass”.

He also ordered that no student should be detained and no child should be expelled from school. Based on this, the District Primary Education Officers have issued the necessary orders to the headmasters of all types of schools under their jurisdiction through the website, email and telephone.

As per the GO, all District Primary Education Officers are requested to provide the necessary instructions through the authorities to take further action on the relevant records in their School Pass Registration by the Headmasters of all the schools affiliated to Class 1 to 8. All District Primary Education Officers have been notified to send a report detailing the action taken on behalf of the subject to the e-mail address

Curfew without any relaxations is imposed due to the rapid spread of corona infection in the state. So the reopening of schools will be announced after the end of the curfew. It was also informed that free textbooks and other welfare schemes for students will be announced as soon as the schools reopen.
