Tirunelveli Chief Judicial Magistrate dies of COVID

Tirunelveli District Chief Judicial Magistrate, on Sunday, succumbed to COVID 19 who was undergoing treatment for the same. It is tragic that he was transferred here just 15 days back.

Justice Neesh (42) hails from Sayarpuram of ​​Thoothukudi district. While he was serving as a judge at Chidambaram Criminal Court in the Cuddalore District, he was transferred through the Madras High Court to the post of Chief Judicial Magistrate of Tirunelveli District Criminal Court.

He was appointed as the District Chief Judicial Magistrate on April 26. Two days after taking office, on April 28, he went on leave due to ill health. It was then learnt that he was tested positive for coronavirus. Following this, he was admitted to the Thoothukudi Government Medical College Hospital and continued to receive treatment.

He died at 11:45 last night. He is survived by his wife and 2 daughters.
