Three more persons were discharged from the Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital after recovering from coronavirus infection. The persons whose identities were not disclosed were given a farewell by the hospital Dean, Dr.Balajinathan, Superintendent Dr.P.Dhanapal, doctors and the nurses of the special ward for Covid 19 treatment.
Two of them are from Salem City and one is from Mettur. Exit testing on the three came with negative result and hence they are being discharged but they have been told to remain indoors for 14 days and continue medicines prescribed said the doctors. Officials said that more than 1000 persons with symptoms and those in contact with them have been isolated and being observed.
A total of 37 persons were undergoing treatment in Salem GH out of whom twenty three persons have been discharged after recovery. Presently 14 persons are under treatment in Salem GH. These include, one person from Dharmapuri, four patients from NamakkalWith five patients from Salem City and four from other areas of Salem district.
