The Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu has ordered to fine those institutions that overrule the guidelines issued by the government.
The government has made it mandatory to wear masks during campaigning. The intensity of the coronavirus spread has increased by 1.2% in the last 10 days. The spread has increased by 2% in Chennai and Coimbatore.
The government has also said that the number of persons under treatment for COVID-19 has also considerably increased. The government has announced that a fine will be levied on those who do not wear face masks in public places.
It has advised that the people must strictly adhere to the pandemic protocol as the spread of coronavirus is considerably increasing across the state.
All these announcements were made by the Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu Rajiv Ranjan after consultation with the authorities of various departments.
