A night curfew came into force from 10 pm to 4 am from Tuesday and total curfew on Sundays to prevent the spread of corona infection. So, stern action will be taken against those who roam outside unnecessarily at night, warned Erode District SP P Thangathurai.
He further said in this regard: The government allowed movement of goods carriers and ambulances in nights so double lane traffic roads will be made single lane to monitor vehicles movement.
Those who work in factories at night will be given permission to go. They should bring their company identity card with the work permit letter.
Violators of curfew norms will be prosecuted and action will be taken. Similarly, check posts in the border of TN and Karnataka in Erode district and 12 other check posts in the district will be monitored fully with additional police force.
On Sundays, district boundaries will be closed if necessary and only goods carriers, ambulances and government vehicles will be allowed to go, he added.
