School admission made through Google

While many schools started inviting parents for enrolment of their wards for current academic year, Erode corporation middle school at SKC Road Erode started admission in novel way by using Google due to curfew and corona infection In normal days, teachers and HM would go to door to door in the area for enrollment.

The school creates an admission form on its own and it can be downloaded by using Google easily by public thanks to the effort of school HM Sumathi.

Parents fill the details about children in the form and send it to the school through online itself for enrollment.

By this way for the past one week, 33 students were enrolled from LKG to 8th std. The parents were asked to come to the school in case of any doubt in the filled in forms.

As per the RTE Act, there is also no need to give TC or birth certificate for admission. The newly enrolled students’ details would be uploaded in the EMIS (education management information system) of the education department and then the government would provide free textbooks to such students also.

At present, all existing students are getting books, including KG students. From UKG, 24 students are promoted to 1 std this year and the outgoing students from 8th std is 28.

The school has English medium classes in all standards. The parents of existing students were invited on Monday for distribution of rice, egg, dhall under noonmeal scheme and free textbooks.

Last year over 270 students studied in the school.
The teachers were continuing their teaching through Whatsapp to all students due to closure of schools from last year due to corona.

The school has all facilities including digital classrooms, classes for spoken English, music, special programmes to improve standards of teaching and other extra curricular activities, besides full strength of teachers including computer teacher.
