Farmers in Erode district staged a protest, condemning the Central government’s three Farm Laws.
They demanded withdrawal of the 3 laws, Electricity Amendment Act and enforcement of the MS Swaminathan Committee report.
The protest is being held on behalf of the All India Farmers’ Struggle Coordination Committee, urging the Central government to hold talks with the struggling farmers in Delhi.
In the Erode district, farmers engaged in a struggle by burning copies in more than 100 places, including Bhavani, Chennimalai, Kavunthappadi, Kodumudi and Modakkurichi.
The protest was led by Tamil Nadu Farmers Union state vice president Munusamy in Kavunthappadi, Ponnaiyan in Chennimalai, Maniyan in Perundurai, Ilango in Erode and Songappan in Modakkurichi.
