Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has on Friday tested positive for coronavirus, the organisation tweeted on its official handle.
Mr Bhagwat, 70, has been showing common symptoms of coronavirus infection, the RSS tweeted.”He is currently having common symptoms of COVID-19 and has been admitted to Kingsway Hospital in Nagpur, is undergoing general check-up and caution,” the tweet added.
According to reports, Mohan Bhagwat was administered the Covid-19 vaccine on March 7 at Nagpur’s National Cancer Institute. As many of the states are hit by the second wave of the coronavirus, Maharashtra Maharashtra reported the highest number of new cases at 58,993.
Out of the total 58,993 cases recorded in the state, Mumbai recorded 9,200 new Covid-19 cases. There are 5,34,603 active cases in Maharashtra.
