Rs 1.8 crores worth counterfeit notes seized in Coimbatore

Kochi City Police received a report that some people in Kerala and Coimbatore were involved in the circulation of counterfeit Rs. 2000 notes.

Accordingly, a special team of Kerala police on Wednesday rounded up Asraf(24) who belongs to Vallal Nagar in Karumbukkadai, Coimbatore and arrested him. Based on the information provided by him, the Kerala and Coimbatore police conducted a joint search of the house of Sultan(32), in the Al-Amin Colony area of ​​Ukkadam.

During the raid, Rs 1.8 crores worth of counterfeit currency notes were seized. After detaining the two at the Kuniyamuthur police station, the police took the two arrested persons to Kerala for investigation. This incident created a stir in the locality.
