Rejig in TN bureaucrats- GS Sameeran appointed as Coimbatore Collector 54 IAS officers transferred including 24 District Collectors GS Sameeran IAS has been appointed as the new Collector for the Coimbatore district on Sunday.
Along with the incumbent Collector Nagarajan, the Tamil Nadu government transferred 24 collectors across the state. S Nagarajan is the District Collector of Coimbatore, who assumed his office a few days before the election. He replaced K Rajamani as the new Collector.
In this context, he has now been appointed as the Commissioner of Land Administration. GS Sameeran has been appointed as the new Collector of Coimbatore District in his place. Thiruvannamalai District Collector Sandeep Nanduri has been appointed as the Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Tourism Department.
Likewise, the state government has made a rejig in the office of the collectors in 24 districts including Nagapattinam, Ariyalur, Thirupattur, Vellore, Villupuram, Thiruvallur and Thiruvannamalai. On the whole, 54 IAS officers have been transferred today.
