Vaccination work in Erode district has been suspended for the last 3 days due to non-availability of vaccines. It has been announced that vaccinations will be given to all persons above 18 years of age at all vaccination centers after the next phase of vaccination is available.
2 lakh 41 thousand 55 people over the age of 18 have been vaccinated in the district so far. In this situation, it was announced that only 100 vaccines would be given per day at each vaccination centers after the public complained that the vaccination centers themselves were causing the spread of the disease due to the large crowds at the vaccination centers and the long queues were seen in each centre.
Many people have been waiting in long queues for the past few weeks to register their names as public have been asked to come to vaccination centers with Aadhar ID cards and register their names.
In the meantime, those who have registered for the vaccine and received tokens have been coming to the vaccination centers for the past three days.
It has been announced on the notice boards of the primary health centers asking people to come later to know the details of the vaccination.
