Those who have completed and submitted the postal ballot form 12D have been informed that they will not be allowed to go to the polling booth and cast their vote if they are not at home when the ballot committee arrives.
Form 12D is provided for the Legislative Assembly poll arranging for postal voting for persons with disabilities, senior citizens over the age of 80, who have been infected with corona and are suspected to be infected.
Officers will go to the specified address.
The voter can chose someone to supervise his voting.
The ballot paper will then be enclosed in an envelope (Form 13B) with Form 13A signed by the voter and given to the voter.
The officials will come to voter’s home only after speaking through cell phone confirming that the voter is in the home.
If there is no response, they will not call for a third time.
Officials said the voter, applied for postal ballot, would not be allowed to go to the polling station and vote.
