A study in the Coimbatore district found that 71% of people have acquired resistance towards coronavirus, according to health officials.
“Blood samples were taken from specific areas of the public health department to diagnose the level of resistance towards coronavirus infection among the general public in Tamil Nadu. The first phase was conducted in November 2020, the second phase in April 2021 and the third phase last August.
Of these, only 37 %in Erode and 43% in Coimbatore had the lowest percentage of coronavirus resistance in the state. In this case, the samples were collected from the first 5 districts with the highest rate of immunity and the last 5 districts with the lowest rate of immunity and the test was conducted last September.
It was revealed that 71% have been acquired with the resistance towards coronavirus in the Coimbatore district.
