Offline classes for the first-year students of government, government-aided and self-financed arts and science colleges in Tamil Nadu for the academic year 2021-2022 began on Monday.
Classes are being conducted only for vaccinated students on a rotational shift basis. All educational institutions have been closed since March last year due to the Corona epidemic. Thus classes for college students in Tamil Nadu were conducted only online.
In this context, offline classes for students in grades 9 to 12 began on September 1, following a gradual decline in the incidence of corona infection. The Tamil Nadu government subsequently announced that classes will be started for students from class 1 to class 8 from November 1.
Also, the offline classes began for the students in colleges of arts and sciences other than the first year. With student enrollment over, the first direct classes for first-year students in government, government-aided and self-funded arts and science colleges began today.
The Directorate of Collegiate Education has announced that students need to make sure they are vaccinated. It has been advised to comply with the state COVID guidelines on the college campus
